BCFS Sports successfully hosted its annual BCFS Outdoor Cricket Tournament 2026 on August 9 at Don Bayer Sports Field, Dartmouth, bringing together six teams for a full day of exciting cricket, sportsmanship, and community spirit.
Champions and Individual Honours
After a series of closely contested matches in the fast-paced T7 format, the Knight Riders emerged as tournament champions, capping off an outstanding campaign with a victory in the final. Congratulations to the entire Knight Riders squad for their remarkable performance throughout the day.
A special congratulations also goes to the BD Tigers, who finished as runners-up. The Tigers displayed exceptional determination, skill, and competitive spirit, making the final a memorable contest.
The tournament also recognized two outstanding performers:

Both players delivered exceptional performances and demonstrated the talent, commitment, and passion that continue to elevate community cricket year after year.
Featuring six teams, including Knight Riders, BD Tigers, Pacemakers, Atlantic Avengers, Gorsebrook, and Halifax Havocs, the tournament delivered plenty of memorable moments. Several matches went down to the wire, with some games being decided on the very last ball.
From dramatic finishes to match-winning sixes under pressure, spectators were treated to the kind of thrilling cricket that makes the sport so enjoyable. Equally impressive was the sportsmanship displayed by all participants throughout the day, creating a positive and respectful atmosphere on and off the field.
Community Effort Behind the Success
The success of the event was made possible through the dedication of numerous volunteers and organizers who worked tirelessly from early morning until the conclusion of the prize-giving ceremony.
BCFS Sports expresses its sincere appreciation to the entire BCFS Sports Committee, Umpires, and Volunteers for coordinating the event from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. BCFS Sports would also like to thank President of BCFS Dr. Mujahidur Rahaman, Senior Advisor Dr. Ashraf and Senior Advisor Captain Jalal who attended the prize-giving ceremony and encouraged players through their presence and support.
